Estates & Landowners
We help estate owners and landowners identify what is genuinely possible, then make it happen, with the expertise, care and discretion that significant land projects deserve.
Why Greenfinch?
Managing an estate or significant landholding comes with a unique set of opportunities and a unique set of pressures. Whether you are looking to generate new income from underutilised land, sensitively develop existing buildings, or establish a new use that fits the character of your estate, the path from idea to outcome is rarely straightforward.
At Greenfinch, we understand that estates require a different kind of conversation. We take the time to understand your long-term vision, not just the immediate project and we build a strategy around it. Our team includes chartered planners, architects and development specialists, all experienced in working with complex rural sites, heritage assets, and sensitive landscapes.
We are direct with you about what is and is not achievable. We protect your time, your investment and your land's integrity throughout.
How we work
Every estate project begins with a thorough site review, tailored to your land's specific characteristics and your objectives. From there, we guide you through each stage, from feasibility and planning strategy to design, consent and delivery.
01 — Estate Review & Feasibility
We visit your site, assess its potential and give you an honest view of what the land can realistically support. We look at planning history, landscape constraints, access, ecology and income potential — and we give you clear recommendations before you commit to anything.
02 — Planning Strategy & Design
Once we have a clear picture of your ambitions, our planners and architects work together to develop a design and planning strategy that is both commercially sound and sympathetic to your estate. We manage pre-application discussions with the local authority, reducing risk ahead of a formal submission.
03 — Planning Application
We handle the full application process: coordinating reports, consultants and submissions, and managing the local authority through to a decision. Our team stays in close contact with you throughout, so there are no surprises.
04 — Delivery Support
Once consent is secured, we can continue to support you through the delivery phase from the discharge of planning conditions to project coordination on site. We do not disappear after the decision notice.
